Inside our collaboration with Master & Fellow: Rethinking hands-on medical education

Training that feels real. Learning that drives confidence.

During this year’s ESMINT congress, one highlight stood out: the SLICE Challenge workshop, where knowledge met innovation in the most immersive way.

This wasn’t a first-time partnership. We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Master & Fellow on several past SLICE events, and each time we push the boundaries of what medical education can look like.

Master & Fellow brings educational mastery through truly hands-on, case-based sessions led by renowned neurointerventional experts. Each participant is guided through real clinical scenarios with direct, personalized feedback from Key Opinion Leaders, ensuring not just observation, but full engagement and decision-making.

At Sim&Cure, we complement this approach with Sim&Train, our high-fidelity simulation platform that replicates endovascular procedures with precision. The combination enables clinicians to actively practice techniques in a risk-free environment, while benefiting from expert coaching every step of the way.

The result? Workshops that feel less like a course, and more like real clinical experience. Together, we create next-level hands-on learning for physicians who want to grow their skillset in high-stakes environments.

As part of our ongoing collaboration, the SLICE Hands-On Challenge at the exclusive WallabyPhenox TechSuite during ESMINT. Over the span of two days, a high-impact session was repeated for multiple small groups, ensuring every physician received a full, focused experience.

Each 2-hour session featured:

  • Real-life aneurysm cases using Sim&Train advanced cartridges.

  • Expert instruction from leading faculty including Dr. Frédéric Clarençon, Dr. Markus Holtmannspötter, Dr. Ali Khanafer, with direction by Dr. Vincent Costalat and coordination by Dr. Răzvan Radu

  • An immersive, peer-level learning format designed to promote skill development through hands-on practice and discussion

A special thanks to Wallabyphenox, who made this session at ESMINT possible. Their commitment to physician excellence ensures that medical professionals can train directly on devices designed to improve patient care.

This is not just a successful event, it’s a growing alliance. And we’re just getting started.

New chapters are already in the works. Stay tuned for what’s coming next.
